Satchel

Bring your own memory. One memory, carried between every AI agent you use.

Your memory is a folder of plain markdown files. Every agent you connect — Claude, Grok, ChatGPT, your own — reads the same files and writes to them, and every line says which agent wrote it. You can read the folder yourself. You can keep it in your own Google Drive.

Connect an agent

  1. In your agent's connector settings, add https://satchel-staging.podwards.com/mcp as a custom connector.
  2. Sign in when it asks.
  3. Tell the agent, once: call memory_context at the start of every chat and follow its instructions.

Three ways to run it

Self-host — free
Run the open server on your own machine. Your files, your box.
Carry — free
We run the connector; your memory lives in your Google Drive. We keep a settings record and nothing else. Up to 150 files.
Satchel — $5 a month, or $48 a year
Everything: memory in your Drive or hosted with us, unlimited files, the nightly walk that tidies and asks you to confirm what changed, shared satchels with friends and family, export any time.

Why files

A file you can open is a memory you can check. Satchel stores memory as an open format (OKF), so nothing here is locked to us or to any one agent. Facts are only ever things you said; the agents are asked not to file guesses, and never to file health, money, politics or anything else you'd not want in a folder.

Shared satchels

A project with friends, a household, a team — carve out a satchel to pool with them while the rest stays yours. Each person uses whichever agent they like; the shared folder shows who said what.
